SJBC COVID-19 Response Update

March 19, 2021

Dear parents,

Thank you for entrusting your children to us at San Juan Bible Camp. As a parent, I understand how hard that can be but the benefits are beyond this world as we build community, build relationship and teach eternal truth here at camp.

The COVID-19 virus rearranged camps last summer and we are so thankful for your willingness to utilize Virtual Camp. We are planning to have full camps this summer and will be outside as much as possible so that we can minimize any mask wearing. Cabins will be their own group for the week to minimize the risk of any kind of spread. Our goal is to have camp as normal as possible but have plans in place to minimize the risk of sickness and any spread of that sickness.

We are changing our cleaning procedures so that we will clean more often all of the surfaces that get touched multiple times a day. We are purchasing a new tent so that we can eat outside with plenty of fresh air and also have chapel under the same tent. Each cabin will have their own table to avoid any spread and we will also have a hand washing station before eating to ensure that all campers and staff have clean hands. On the first day of camp, you will notice a different check in system.

These are a few of the changes that we are making to keep your child safe from sickness at camp this summer. You will see more changes this summer due to state regulations but our commitment is to give your child the best experience at camp that we are able to give. That includes keeping your child safe, helping them build relationships, experience new skills and hear truth from the Bible.

Please feel free to contact us at the camp office as you have questions.

God’s Blessings,

Phil Most
Camp Director
